|Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists|
"Thank you for visiting the Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists' website! Our organization's goal is to provide those involved in health-system pharmacy with the ongoing education and resources to provide outstanding patient care. No matter your role in health-system pharmacy -- pharmacist, technician, resident, or student, we have a place for you. We welcome you to become an active member of our organization in pursuing our mission of promoting pharmacy as an essential component of the health care team."
Our Mission: To represent our members by providing leadership and support in the promotion of pharmaceutical care. AAHP serves its membership by pursuing common goals; through representation to private and public agencies and to the other health care organizations; and by promoting pharmacy as an essential component of the health care team.
This can be deployed in any number of ways-- to patients, caregivers, a hospital/health system’s PR department for external promotion or via internal channels like the patient education channels, in waiting rooms, in an outpatient pharmacy, etc. It is also a fantastic communication to educate the C-suite about pharmacists’ patient care role and for use as a provider status support tool. If hospitals/health systems in Arkansas wish to customize the last slate in the video with their own logo, that is doable for a low fee. This includes video editing and delivery of an electronic file in two compression types.
AAHP members are encouraged to urge legislators to support HR 592 which will recognize pharmacists as healthcare providers by adding them to the Medicare provider list in the Social Security Act.. APhA has created a website devoted to recognizing pharmacists as healthcare providers (www.pharmacistsprovidecare.com). Pharmacists can stay up-to-date on this issue as well as contact their legislators to support HR 592. Click on the green Take Action square or the link Contact your Member of Congress today to send a letter requesting your Congressman to cosponsor HR 5920.
