Academies

 

Overview of Practice Academies

A benefit for APA Members is the ability to join one of three Practice Academies that allow pharmacists to meet and discuss their practice settings in greater depth, plan events, and network. Membership to practice academies is at no charge. All Academies have representation on the APA Board of Directors.

 

Compounders Academy

Many Arkansas pharmacists practice compounding and are active members of APA's Compounding Academy and the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists. APA's Compounding Academy members meet at least annually to discuss the latest in compounding trends. 

 

Consultants Academy 

APA members who practice in long-term care settings are welcome members of the APA Consultants Academy.

 

Healthcare System Pharmacists Academy

APA members who are pharmacists, student pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who either work in or have interest in ambulatory care clinics, hospitals, academia, federally qualified health centers, rural health clinics, regulatory, Veterans Affairs, Indian Health Centers, public health, infusion centers, specialty care, long term care, home health, hospice, and other team-based settings are welcome members of APA Healthcare System Pharmacists Academy.
