A major benefit for APA members is the ability to join one of three Academies that allow pharmacists to meet and discuss their practice settings in greater depth. The Academies include the Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists (AAHP), the Compounders Academy and the Consulting Academy.
AAHP The Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists (AAHP) key objective is to promote pharmacy as an essential component of the health care team. AAHP serves its membership by pursuing common goals through representation to private and public agencies and to the other health care organizations.
Almost 400 pharmacists in Arkansas belong to AAHP, which holds its Annual Fall Seminar in early October. Contact AAHP President Kevin Robertson for more information.

Compounders Many Arkansas pharmacists practice compounding and are active members of APA’s Compounding Academy and the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists. APA’s Compounding Academy members meet at least annually to discuss the latest in compounding trends.
Consultants APA members who practice in nursing homes are welcome members of the APA Consultants Academy.
